Jaw Coupling :

A jaw coupling is a type of Mechanical Coupling used to connect two shafts together at their ends in order to transmit power. It consists of two hubs with interlocking “jaws” that mesh with each other.

Typically made of metal, these jaws allow for some angular misalignment, axial misalignment, and shaft end-play. Jaw couplings are commonly used in various industrial applications such as pumps, motors, vibration dampening, and shock absorption while transmitting torque efficiently.
